Picking the pose of your new trophy is fun and exciting but if you've never done it before it can feel overwhelming & stressful so here is a quick guide to help you more understand your options.
Wether a standard Shoulder Mount or a more elaborate Wall / Floor Pedestal there are many options to choose from
Your first option is mount position:
Most common mount position by animal
Whitetail : Upright
Mule Deer : Semi Sneak
Antelope : Upright
Elk : Semi Sneak
Moose : Semi Sneak
Some animals have more options than others for example you have more position choices with a whitetail than you do with an elk.
Lifesize & 1/2 Lifesize mounts with a habitat are an awesome way to recreate a complete nature scene.
Wether you choose a Lifesize Closed Mouth Standing Bear just checking things out or a 1/2 Lifesize Open Mouth Bear that isn't to happy to see you
its truly something special to be able to "recreate your hunt" when it comes to your Lifesize or 1/2 Lifesize hunting memory.
Ear position
Choosing the position of the ears is a fun way to set the mood for your mount wether you want your mount to be more alert or more relaxed this is achieved by ear position.
Please note: although you choose the position of the ears when im mounting your trophy I will always choose what looks best & ears may differ from your original position.
Example: If you choose to have your ears alert on a Mule Deer Full Sneak when in the mounting process if the ears looks more natural flicked back I will go-ahead and position the ears flicked back to insure you get the most natural & realistic mount possible.
Straight head mounts look good if thats your style but by turning the head to the left or right you completely change the look of your mount and give it a much more appealing look.
